Waimea Valley Sensory Exploration & Waterfall Experience
Join Travel Visions Aloha for the Blind for a special sensory exploration of Waimea Valley on the North Shore. In partnership with Waimea Valley’s Cultural Education team, this experience is designed to bring the valley to life through touch, sound, scent, storytelling, and cultural connection.
Participants will enjoy a guided journey into the valley, experience the natural beauty and meaning of this sacred place, and spend time at Waimea waterfall. Afterward, participants may walk back down at their own pace or use the complimentary shuttle ride down. We will then gather for a catered lunch and time to connect as a community.
Schedule: 9:00 AM arrival and welcome, 9:20 AM guided sensory cultural tour, 11:10 AM arrival at the waterfall, 12:00 to 1:00 PM catered lunch and community time.
TVA provides trained sighted volunteers and works to maintain a one to one volunteer ratio so blind and visually impaired participants can enjoy the experience with support, safety, and meaningful engagement.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, and plan for a morning outdoors. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from Waimea Valley.
